How should I store confections I purchased?

Cream filled pastries and tarts should always be stored in the refrigerator. They are best enjoyed within 2-3 days of purchase.

Most cupcakes should be refrigerated and should reach room temperature prior to serving.

Cakes filled and frosted with buttercream do not need refrigeration if they are to be served the same day; otherwise, refrigerate and remove 2 hours before serving to allow the buttercream to reach room temperature. Cakes with cream cheese frosting should be refrigerated and allowed to reach room temperature prior to serving. Cakes filled and frosted with Whipped cream must be refrigerated and served chilled.

Muffins, Loaf/Crumb Cakes, Raspberry Crumble Bars/Brownies, Doughnuts, and Cookies do not have to be refrigerated. They are all best enjoyed within 2-3 days of purchase.

French Macarons should be refrigerated but should be slightly cooler than room temperature before eating. If you do not plan on eating all of them within 4 days, they may be frozen for up to a month and slowly thawed out before eating.

Yes, we do make mini cupcakes.

What is the minimum order for cupcakes?

The minimum order for cupcakes is 1 Dozen per flavor.

What type of frostings/icings do you offer?

We use Buttercream, Swiss Meringue Buttercream Cream Cheese Frosting, and Fresh Whipped Cream.

Buttercream is a sweeter frosting consisting primarily of butter and powdered sugar and is the most stable frosting.

Swiss Meringue Buttercream is very decadent and delicate in flavor and is not as sweet as a traditional Buttercream. For our Swiss Meringue Buttercream we beat sweet butter into a cooked meringue (egg whites and sugar) which results in a velvety buttercream that never overpowers the cake.

Cream Cheese Frosting is most commonly paired with our Red Velvet and Carrot Cakes. It is rich and sweet with a slight tang from the cream cheese.

Whipped Cream is the most delicate of all and is the least sweet. Creamy and fresh, nothing beats fresh Whipped Cream!

Do you use fondant on any of your cakes?

No, we do not use Fondant on any of our cakes. While Fondant can be used to create lovely designs and smooth finishes it does not taste good. Our highest priority is taste and if something does not taste good we don’t use it!

Do you make sugar flowers?

Yes, we can accommodate a cake order with handmade sugar flowers made of gum paste. The flowers may be picked off the cake before serving and saved.

Do you have anything that is wheat-free?

Not at this time but perhaps in the future!

Do you offer any vegan products?

Are any of your products sugar-free?

Although we have tried, we have not been able create a sugar-free product we are satisfied with. We will continue to conjure up sugar-free recipes and hope they meet our high standards.

How far in advance should I place my order?

Please place your orders at least 1-2 weeks in advance for a simple cake. For custom order cakes, at least 3-4 weeks is preferable. We will always try to accommodate late orders when possible.
